work Job Description
English Teachers lead and facilitate English Lessons during what’s known in HOPPA as “English time”. Children can be anywhere between 0 (6months) to 5yrs.
- Main Responsibilities:

- Teach English Lessons during “English time”
- Speaking lessons are 30 minutes
- From 3.5yrs, we start writing/phonics lessons
- Other Responsibilities:

- Help feed children
- Change diapers and provide toilet assistance
- Put children down for naps
- Play with children in English outside of “English lessons”
- Support other teachers with their lessons

Opportunity to master a wide range of knowledge
PROMOTION SYSTEM TO BECOME A SEI-SHAIN (FULL-TIME)
- You must spend 1 year as full time employee (12 full months).
- Promotion Period: 4/1 & 10/1
- Benefits include retirement after 3 years under this contract.
WORK SHIFTS AND HOLIDAYS
- Monday - Friday: 8:00-5:00 / 8:30-5:30 / 9:00-6:00
- Off: Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
- Total Holidays: 123 days
PAID LEAVE
- You will receive 10 days in your first year and it will increase based on Japanese Law.
- You need to work 80% of the first 6 months to receive paid leave.
HEALTH INSURANCE
- The company provides health insurance. Your family can join your health insurance.
- Your vaccine status is private information. The company does not require you to have the Covid 19 vaccination. If you get the flu shot we will cover the price.
HEALTH CHECKS
- Check-up is once a year.
- Health Checks are provided for free if you are employed with the company before April 1st.
KYOSHIN DISCOUNT
- We will offer a discount for attending learning centers and English conversation classes operated by the Kyoshin Group.
